Edna Louise Walker Horton Nixon was born on May 18, 1952, in Sheffield, Alabama, to the late Mr. Milton Horton and Mrs. Mae Fannie Horton. She departed this life on April 14, at her home in Leighton, Alabama.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. James M.B. Church of Leighton, Alabama, where she served as an usher for many years.
Edna loved her Pastor and First Lady Davidson, as well her church family and friends. She had a special passion for her children and grandchildren. Edna had extreme love for the Leighton Training School Class of 1970; she thought nothing, and no other class could outdo them. Edna retired after working 25 plus years at ECM Hospital in Florence, Alabama.
